It Cost Me $100 to Fill Up My Tank…..

Although I Don’t Have to Worry About Gas Anymore….because I live 5 blocks from work, I still have to fill up my gas tank once in a month…here’s why.

Gas Reciept

Janice Paige, my client, called me yesterday and said,

“Making $4,000 a month from home is equivalent to making $8,000/month as an employee….here’s why:

I use to make $8,000 a month working as a program director, but after taxes my take home was around $5500. But I spent $750 a month on gas because I lived 1 hour from work. On top of that I had to pay around $750 a month for daycare, so after Taxes, Gas and Daycare I really brought home $4,000 a month.”

I made $4200 my first month working from home but I didn’t have to wake up at 6a.m., I didn’t have to work a full 8 hours, I didn’t have to report to a boss, and the best thing about it is that I get to spend more time with my kids.”

I told Janice that’s a story for the ages! Talk about a success story. Which reminds me, when I filled up my gas tank this morning I was still sadden by the rise in gas prices, but I wasn’t affected because I only fill up my gas tank once a month.
